Unimportant post

I m not sure why I wrote this.

Life has been quite OK. Term break for a week and I got a project spill from the IDP media. It seems that they got too many work but they can't afford to hire a new employee. So they outsource me for some of their projects.
Not so much of a money, but I think this relationship will be good for my future work-life in Singapore. Contacts! :D

Doing a corporate videos somehow feels good. Maybe not for long, but its good enough for me to go away from the artsy-fartsy stuff. Besides... this corporate stuff make money rather then spend it.

School: Project Music+Video (3)

So we changed the plan.
No more water, no more rain.

McDonalds suddenly pop-up in my mind. The frying of fries, burger fliping on a pan, ice cream squirting, obesse people burbing, eating burger, etc. Its just sounds cool to me. Besides.. whats the biggest junk-food (read: fast-food) franchise network in the world?

Unfortunately...
Shoting at McD will need paperwork and we dont have much time. So we need to change plan to a more feasible subject. Sara, the girl from music-tech facutly came up with the idea of car.
Well.. its not a bad idea. It is also very feasible to do.

So we go out...
Shoting in the saturday and look for a quite place. Punggol area seems to be suitable for that.
So we went there to shot and record. I had borrowed an XL-1 from school the day before. While Sara came up with a field recorder (cant remember what type), shotgun mic and a surface mic (I dont remember whats the official name. Its a thin flat bottomed mic. Almost as big as a computer mouse but half the height of a mouse).
Equipment seems pretty solid and it was proven.

Sound quality is excellent! (at least for my standard)
Well those are the mics that cost at least more than US$400 each. They suppose to do their job.

Now we got footage.
I did selected the things that we can use. The 12 minutes footage now down to about 30 seconds of clips. Tomorow Sara will try to arrange the footage into music.
But I can't help not to play around with it. So I did another cheezy arrangement. As usual, un-treated, un-balanced, un-mixed, un-, un-, ... Basically I was just having fun with the samples.
